The story of Lars Larsen Watches is a story of a 100-year journey and a return to its roots.

Exclusive quality, unique Danish design made in Denmark

The story began with the birth of Lars Larsen on November 8, 1889. At just 14 years old, he was already sailing, and deep-sea fishing became his main daily work in the following years. Lars Larsen later trained as a captain at the Royal Naval Academy and then quickly took command of the proud ship "Carl" in 1916. The sea then became his home. In 1918, he became captain of the even larger ship "Agnes Louise" and shortly thereafter he even became its owner.

Although deep-sea fishing and the Seven Seas were his home, he had a great passion for watches. Captain Larsen dreamed of one day making his own watch. In 1919 he realized his dream – he designed and produced his first own watch. This beautiful, precise and very robust pocket watch accompanied him for the next 32 years through wind and weather, while he traveled the icy waters of the North Atlantic. However, the long days and weeks at sea and the increasingly turbulent times prevented him from realizing his dream of serial production.

Now, however, the dream of the old Captain Lars Larsen has come true. His grandchild – also named Lars Larsen – has inherited his passion and designed a series of watches that express the robustness but also the beauty of the Seven Seas and embody the contemporary Danish design of Lars Larsen Watches. Design, product development, production and sales are handled by Lars Larsen Watches. Our headquarters and production are located in the beautiful 800-year-old port city of Svendborg (Denmark), with centuries of seafaring tradition.
