A chronograph and moon phase are not only suitable for everyday use but also a real eye-catcher. Certina's new DS-8 model integrates complex information harmoniously and clearly into an appealing design. It is perfect for any occasion: the watch features a stop-second in the center, a 12-hour chronograph counter at 2 o'clock, and a small second at 6 o'clock. When you look at the moon, its orbits pass before a beautiful starry sky. A date display at 4 o'clock, as useful as it is discreet, completes the overall package.
Dark, metallic tones are the perfect choice for a sophisticated look
The 42 mm round stainless steel case is a real eye-catcher with its satin-finished and polished parts. The dark blue dial with a sunburst effect provides elegance and clarity and is also available in dark brown, black, or silver. The Super-LumiNova® coating on the elegant Arabic numerals and indices, as well as on the hour and minute hands, ensures excellent readability even in the dark. The black calfskin strap with crocodile embossing adds that special touch to the look. Certina also offers a dark brown leather strap or a comfortable five-link stainless steel bracelet for you to choose from.
As constant as the moon
The new DS-8 Chronograph Moon Phase houses a modern PrecidriveTM quartz caliber, which has been certified as a chronometer by the independent Swiss testing institute COSC. Thanks to the DS Double Security system, it is optimally protected – even against pressure up to 10 bar. Another advantage: The sapphire crystal is scratch-resistant and anti-reflective.
