Decisive for the birth of Obaku Denmark was the idea that the objects with which we usually adorn ourselves should radiate a sense of calm and exuberance.

In Asia, the Zen philosophy advocates a commitment to natural simplicity in thought and action. Obaku Denmark takes its name from a branch of Zen philosophy. This branch creates a universe characterized by existing tranquility and the absence of superfluous details. Northern European countries have a long design tradition that combines functionality and simplicity. Obaku Denmark has inherited the best from both cultures and makes the most important characteristics of the Obaku philosophy visible in its models.

All Obaku Denmark watches are designed by Danish designers Christian Mikkelsen and Lau Liengård Ruge. They have combined the best of Scandinavian design art and Zen philosophy to create a completely unique design with clear expression. All watches are characterized by a pure, harmonious design, combined with a calm, balanced color composition and high functionality.
