This eco-friendly classic features a park-green case, dial, and strap. The strap is made of fabric and cork, making the watch very comfortable to wear. With its iconic dial and red second hand, it's a real eye-catcher on any wrist. Thanks to the innovative strap system, the strap can be changed in seconds, giving the watch a whole new look. The lug width of the watch is 20 mm.

The essence collection combines two core values of the Mondaine brand: innovation and sustainability. The latest technologies are used to produce this durable wristwatch primarily from renewable resources. Materials such as castor oil, renewable or recycled, are used for straps and watch cases.

All Mondaine watches are synonymous with Swiss watchmaking quality and tradition and are handcrafted in our manufacture in Solothurn, Switzerland. Each watch is water-resistant to 30 meters and comes with a two-year international warranty.

The watch brand Mondaine hardly needs an introduction, because the most famous watch in this range, the official Swiss railway clock (SBB), enjoys worldwide recognition. The graphically clear dial with its striking hour and minute lines and the red second hand make Mondaine watches unmistakable.

The Swiss engineer and designer, Hans Hilfiker (1901-1993), created a design classic in the 1940s as an employee of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB CFF FFS): the Swiss railway clock. Based on the SBB large clock in Swiss railway stations, Mondaine Watch Ltd. developed the legally protected wristwatch in 1986, which has since become a classic. Many other models with the red second hand, such as the table and wall clock, the travel alarm and the pocket watch, are now available.
