La Mollla: A Journey Through Art, Craft, and Innovation

The Genesis of an Idea

February 1987: During her final year of high school in Turin, young Tiziana Redavid visited the factory of a friend who produced industrial springs. Springs lay scattered everywhere on the floor. Curious and imaginative, Tiziana picked up a few dozen of these springs, placed them on her wrist, and recognized the artistic potential of this industrial material.

"Molla" means "spring" in Italian. Inspired by the movement and form of these springs, Tiziana founded the brand la mollla (deliberately spelled with three L's to represent the spring's flexibility and lightness). Each bracelet consists of 97 stainless steel springs, a tribute to the brand's founding year.

The Artistry Behind La Molla

Introduction to the Artistic Vocation: The delicate texture of the steel wire, reminiscent of silk, and the lightness of each piece stand in surprising contrast to the quantity of materials used. This combination made La Mollla known worldwide.

The bracelet was first introduced in Paris and quickly became a success in major fashion capitals such as London, New York, Tokyo, Los Angeles, and Moscow. The international press dubbed the La Mollla bracelet "the jewelry of the outgoing century."

Tiziana's Creativity and Vision

Tiziana Redavid, the founder and creative force behind La Mollla, confirms her talent year after year with new collections that harmoniously combine strength, creativity, elegance, and aesthetics. From magnetic jewelry made of colorful resin to simple architectural lines – Tiziana constantly surprises and delights with her atypical jewelry.

In addition to her work for La Molla, Tiziana also works as an architect, industrial designer, and creative director. To learn more about her other professional activities, visit the Tiziana Redavid Ateliers.

A Philosophy of Sustainability and Elegance

Respect for Material and People

La Molla stands not only for artistic but also for sustainable jewelry. Respect for materials and people is a central value. The brand focuses on the reuse of materials that would otherwise end up as waste, such as the oil scraper spring of bracelet 97.

La Molla jewelry is timeless – bracelets, earrings, and necklaces that not only last forever but also remain trendy forever. "For us, sustainability means not only ecological responsibility but also creating durable objects that will still be relevant and beautiful in a hundred years."

Key Moments in the History of La Molla

The First Steps and Successes

1987: Tiziana created the first "Italia" bracelet, inspired by the industrial springs she saw in her friends' factories.

1995-1997: During an Erasmus program in Paris, Tiziana met the famous architect Jean Nouvel. He encouraged her to market her creations. Soon after, the sale of bracelet 97 began.

1997: Tiziana met Issey Miyake, who sold bracelet 97 in his stores and introduced it to the international market. At the same time, the bracelet was presented in the first concept store "Colette" in Paris.

2010: Founding of the first La Molla design company in Paris for the development and distribution of La Molla design objects and jewelry in Europe and worldwide.

2016: Tiziana definitively moved to Turin, while the design office in Paris continues to exist and acts as a link between art and craft.

La Molla: A Harmonious Connection of Art and Craft

La Molla embodies a love for art, craftsmanship, and "Made in Italy." Each piece of jewelry is an expression of care, mindfulness, and respect – for the materials used, the artistic work, and the people who wear the jewelry.
